Don’t fret, L.A.: Taylor Swift ticket sales just delayed due to ‘unprecedented demand’
Taylor Swift’s concert schedule for 2014 is now set, and the world is anxiously awaiting her return to North America, where her sold-out performances are the hottest tickets around. But the singer isn’t leaving a stone unturned to ensure all fans get their money’s worth: She’s already started talking about her 2015 tour.
“I don’t want to have to sell out (L.A.) and I don’t want to have to do some of the crazy things people expect me to do,” she told the New York Times. “I want to just be a really, really amazing show that people enjoy…
“The idea is to have the best show,” she added, “and that I think we can do because we’ve done something extremely unusual.”
The first leg of Swift’s tour will hit North America in August, with dates stretching up to November, and she’s already announced a few other big dates for later next year. The pop star’s new album, Reputation, is due out on September 6, the day after her “Taylor and her i” world tour opens in L.A. Tickets for the sold-out shows in the city are already on sale, and her entire bill is currently on sale through Ticketmaster.
“I’m not sure if it’s a good marketing tactic,” Swift told the New York Times. “I think people are trying to buy tickets.”
