Guerrero: Wake up, Democrats. Don’t let Republicans own the issue of violent crime in America. There’s a better way.
Amen to that.
The American people need to be made aware of the fact that Republicans have an agenda that goes against their principles and that’s being done primarily by the liberal elite in media and academia and public opinion leaders.
Most people don’t realize what they’re being told. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a liberal. I believe in a free society and that people should be able to earn a living and support themselves, but I also believe that there are limits and boundaries.
I also believe in personal responsibility, but it’s not the government’s job to enforce the rules against people who choose to break the law.
As far as the problem of violent crime is concerned, I’m not talking about gun control. I’m talking about the social engineering of society and the enforcement of societal values in our public education system and in the media.
We need to have a media/academic environment that makes everyone aware of reality. That’s the goal. But the problem is that most Americans don’t understand that there’s a problem. They don’t fully understand the root cause of it, so they won’t be able to solve it.
And that’s why this is so important for our country.
It’s not just about Republican politicians. People have to be made aware of the fact that this is an issue that cannot be solved. We need to be reminded of that.
A recent poll shows that 78% of citizens believe that violent crime is a major problem in this country. But that’s not enough. The media must make sure that people understand the reality of the situation.
As a country, we need to be reminded that we need to change and develop new ideas to solve our problems, but we can’t change our beliefs.
We need to be told that what we’re doing is not working and that there’s a better way.
Our country needs to be at a point where it doesn’t rely on violence to get its point across to its citizens.
